Vimeo also handed out awards in 13 different categories to some amazing films.
Vimeo received 15,000 submissions for this year’s competition, double what it garnered in 2010. The results of a public vote were turned over to a panel of 39 judges, including Radiohead’s Colin Greenwood, actor James Franco and Academy Award nominee, documentarian Lucy Walker, as well as previous winners, who chose who would receive grants of $5,000 in the 13 categories.
